MAKE POTTERY
MAKE MEMORIES
Pottery is at the heart of Crete. Over 4,000 years of tradition, from the Minoans to today’s potters. In our workshops, you'll learn how to shape clay into something uniquely yours. Whether you're a complete beginner or already familiar with the craft, we're here to share our passion and teach you the art of pottery.
At the end of each lesson, you'll have a personal, unique clay pot to take home as a cherished reminder of your time in Crete. You may choose to take it home unfired, or we can fire it for you. Please read options for finishing your pots here

*Finishing
YOUR POTS
*We are also offering:
-
Bisque firing* (from 5€ per piece)
-
Glaze firing** (from 12€ per piece)
-
Shipping the pots directly to your home once they are ready (15€ per pot on average)
*Bisque firing: A 48-hour process at around 1000°C (1832°F) transforms your clay into a timeless ceramic. Our Cretan and Greek clays develop a natural terracotta character.
**Glaze firing: Following bisque firing, a second 48 hour firing sets the applied glaze, choose from many colored or clear glazes to create a finished piece ready for everyday use.
Pots usually dry within 2 days, and we can only fire fully dried pieces. Bisque firing with us takes roughly 5 days, and glaze firing about 7 days in total. Alternatively, you can take your unfired pot home at no extra charge, then fire it at a local studio, keep it as decoration, or paint it with acrylics (even unfired!)

Our New Pottery
studio
In December 2019, Konstantinos Spyridis, the owner and instructor of our guided workshops, personally designed and constructed our unique pottery studio. With stunning views of the local gulf and surrounded by olive trees, our studio is equipped with silent potter's wheels and two hand-building tables, all in a private, clean, and organized air-cooled environment. Come and experience the perfect setting to learn and immerse yourself in the local pottery craft.
